    Super Max Bet

I've heard the term "super max bet" thrown around a bit on here.

    1. What count might you place your super max bet? (I speak Hi Lo, KO, and initial bet advantage)

    2. How much larger is it than your max bet?

    3. Does it have a little cape on it? (sorry... its late, I'm tired)

I have a super max bet that I play at TC8, because that's when almost all of my surrender indices are in play. My max is out at TC6. I never go there unless surrender is offered; in a no-surrender game I max out at 6.

My super max is between 25% and 30% higher than my max bet. I don't have a single bet ramp that I always use, as I try to stay within casino tolerance.

I only use a super max bet when playing the last hand before leaving the joint and if its the last round of a deep dealt shoe, the count is over 4.

My max bet is what I consider the largest bet that gets out there with a higher deal of frequency, and also in the range that you can eat least try betting almost everywhere, so TC +4 shoe or 5-6 on DD.

But if the advantage keeps going up I’m not going to cap myself (at least on shoe), I have in the past and feel like it left money on the table and don’t know that it necessarily bought any more time. So I’ll give it another 30%ish hike at TC +6 if I’m gonna get 3+ rounds left on a shoe, when it ever goes +8 on a shoe I’m getting 60% more than my TC 4 max for sure, for me I feel like those are shots I have to take to make decent money at CC.

I'll spread to 2 max bet hands to give the impression of "steaming" in a high count (>+4) if I have to dig in my wallet to buy in after losing.

I use similar approach . To the OP ,We can go higher if we want ( such as tc 8 to tc 10 ) but there is the heat factor . i usually max at tc 4

Cool, sounds like for the most part a super max bet is about 30% more than a max bet and placed around the 6 to 8 true count.

Zee, you did not finish the story. Say on that last hand you received a pair of nines vs a six up card, you would stand and guarantee that you go home at least a hundred bucks winner.

I don't have a standard policy re: "super max bet", but when the count gets "stupid high", I'll venture outside my bounds and place a "stupid-high" bet. I'll see this situation more often in DD games. Counts can go over +20 or higher (HO2).

Bosox, Yes, I would split. I was talking about putting money on the betting circle prior to shuffle. On those rare occasions when the count and heat is high and I plan to leave after the round, I will use a super max and leave, win or lose. That does not mean I would not split or double.
