Can you say where they've come from? Usually these things are leased, and when they're no longer required (house of chance closes up shop etc) they go back to where they've come from. A couple of years ago a couple were advertised by a new member to a forum similar to this, and they were reluctant to divulge any details, for which one could be forgiven for thinking they were a tad on the warm side.

It's just curiosity, or you're interested in buying ?
No secret at all, they come from a floating casino that was closed down.
Customs cleared in Spain 2 weeks ago.

People avoid CSM tables. I've seen local shop completely stop offering CSM games and switching to 100% shoe games except for Pai Gow of course.

Is this new member's post a legitimate solicitation, or more akin to those international ads on Craigs List, requesting payment via Western Union (nearly impossible to identify and locate frauds)???

Maybe I should purchase it so I can put it in the litter box and videotape the cat taking a dump on it. Outside of that I don't see much use for it.

For me it would be merely a curiosity purchase depending on the price of course. The last guy was asking EURO10K+ for one - I suspect on the basis that there was an advantage player somewhere who would pay this to get a lead in working out how to get one over on it. I think he was having a laugh.

The problem is with buying one surplus like this, as opposed to leasing one from SM, is that there's no ongoing support package in place for things like spares, repairs and flash upgrades to the onboard chips, which will reduce their re-sale value. I suppose you might persuade another casino that have them on their gaming tables to take them, or possibly someone who runs a dodgy underground one in a part of the world where casinos are few on the ground (or just don't exist)?

    Ballpark figure?

Great signature . . . I noticed when I watched it again not too long ago, a few strategic frames within the footage of Charlotte Rampling getting her slap were cut.

The machines are available for inspection, in case you have serious interest.
Even more, I would prefer cash-against-machine, because this way everyone is happy and you know exactly what you're buying.

...and the price is more than reasonable.

Just got an offer from Vegas, but shipping overseas is quite expensive + customs..

Oh now we are buying gaming equipment overseas that most likely belongs to bally's.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
