    MGM Springfield and Twin River

I am fairly close to these casinos and wanted to get some sense of their tolerance for counters. Can one spread from $25 to $500 (all green) without heat? Perhaps $15 to $400 would be less threatening but the game would move slower. Higher table minimums yield more rounds per hour!

Also, do you think one can get away with these spreads during a 6-hour session?

    Pre-COVID.

Springfield was pretty good. During the week, somewhat earlier in the day. I didn’t feel much heat. Certainly play head to head with no problems. I think their min was higher.

Twin River was decent. But I was only there on a Saturday. Fairly Crowded. (Lower min).

    Nothing special. Certainly playable.

I went to Springfield shortly after they opened. Every table on the floor was 6:5. Only the black chip tables were 3:2. I have not been back. Has it changed since then?

I don’t play 6:5 unless single deck in Vegas. So I thought the question was weird. This is what I found.

So MGM Springfield is all 3:2? I am a little slow, sorry.

    About half 6:5, half 3:2. I played a lot.

Are you betting $500 in green chips? That would be a stack 20 chips high!

I would worry it would fall over.

They have 6:5 at Springfield? At the csm? Maybe that’s why I stick to $25 min. Honestly don’t remember, haven’t been there for the last two years and also moved recently.

I think I am going to cap the bet at 2x$400. I wonder if they would call "check play" for that kind of action.

I don't play 6:5 so it does not really concern me. They have the best rules in the country. 6 deck, DA2, DAS, LS, RSA.
