I recall you getting your nut off at a massage place and other stories. And now you say that guys doing that are f$&#ing whores?. Seems the kettle is black in Zee land.......

Why do you people insist on talking about each other? Seriously? It's boring as Hell.

What I do when I am away from home does not change how I feel when I am home...I play recreationally, I don’t get off betting huge amounts and the variance that comes with it. I love my family, my family loves me and my having coffee (which takes longer than a HJ or BJ) or getting anything else when I am away from home does not change what is important to me.

I met Zee, too. He sat down at my table, I recognized him from his OSN picture, but didn't say anything. Though I don't have a good story to go along with it. I mentioned it in a post once before.
I don’t know about then but next time, do introduce yourself. I am sure there is much I can learn from you....

The first thing you’ll learn is that he will ramp up much faster than you, as will I for that matter. You’ve often described your ramping strategy, which is slow and a major weakness to your game. The second thing you will learn is your overall spread is weaker than his, and mine for that matter.

Although not certain, I surmise that he can sim on the fly, pissibly (hmmm, a typo perhaps, or new to Webster’s dictionary thanks to MWP) alter his ramps on a shoe by shoe basis depending on deck pen.

It really is amazing the nuances one can pick up at the table if tuned in. I’ve come across ace locators, shuffle trackers etc just by keeping my eyes open. I’ve adjusted my own play based on what these players were doing, often without them knowing what I was doing.

These past few months, I have had a lot of time to think. While the BR amount I have set aside has been $75k, I have been playing as if it’s $10k, ramping slow, keeping minimum bets down, etc. I have, on occasion, ramped up faster but still kept max bets to $150 at $25 DD, $200 at 6 deck.

Now, I have doubts that it will ever become a wise move to go to casinos for an older person like me. If I do, most likely, it will be fewer hours and I will try and play those with less inhibitions.

21 - may i ask how you were to identify zee from an OSN picture; it seems odd that his entry on OSN would be labelled as zeebarbar - although perhaps that was the name he was playing under when he got snapped by OSN. My guess is that you figured it out from comparing the notes in the OSN database to a Zee trip report or post. Thanks for clarifying.

21forme knows my real name, has seen my picture. I am in OSN from playing with a Players card with my name on it. The casino likely does not know my handle here.

To add to this comment, over the years, Zee has posted enough info about himself and his play to make it possible. He's not alone. Over the last 15+ years, I've Identified 4 BJ forum members in casinos simply by what they've posted about themselves and their play, and what I've observed in casinos.

I totally remember that. You were one of the people that i thought at the time could last as a full time pro. I didnt know most people moved here from Green Chip, this seems like the much livelier forum now. If you ever want to collab or just talk shop PM me (if thats allowed here,) or i can message you.

Don’t think you’re still in my neck of the woods - knew you had moved around a lot and burned out quite a few places. I’m pretty much burned out at my home base, though it’s been long enough. I’ve lost a few places north of me as well. I can travel anywhere, though I don’t think I’ll do much of that for a while.

If I do play in the near future, it will be with lots of physical precautions. Just want to be safe as I’m in one of those high risk groups. If you are in my hometown now, might have your old email sitting around. We should get together for a coffee. When last we had breakfast, I’ve progressed on some of those theoretical lines we talked about.

Sadly, it looks like some of us will wait to go to a casino not because the conditions out there will have really changed but until we can fool ourselves into thinking it’s safe to do so, until headlines disappear, until states start concealing or obfuscating the seriousness to avoid economic disasters from getting worse Or until serious withdrawal symptoms hit us!.

I doubt it will ever be really safe for those of us who are 70+ With underlying conditions like diabetes, asthma/respiratory illnesses and heart issues. Time was when we got fake ID’s when we wanted in to bars/nightclubs before we were old enough, now the possibility exists we may need false ID’s again, showing we are young enough to enter casinos!
