Often it’s not an unpleasant visit...sometimes it’s actually flattering, like when they say ‘You are too good for us, please play anything else but BJ in this casino” or “we have made a business decision that you are harmful to our business, so kindly play something else”...

I don't find it flattering. I find it immoral with no sense of fair play. It's their game, their rules, yet if you have the ability to win, you can't play. There are pictures on the walls of slot jackpot winners. Why no pics or table game winners? Why no sign at the entrance, "only losers and idiots welcome"?

Do supermarkets or department stores bar people who only buy on-sale items?
Do buffets throw out fat people?

I did not think of it that way, more like someone walk8ng around not buying anything, popping candy or grapes.

Making bets within the table limits while playing your hand as you see fit is within the rules. Eating those items in a grocery store before paying isn't.

Since I'm sure you're all dying to know, I just played a typical session at my local store with just a little cover, 2.5 hours, same time of day, etc. and no heat. The surveillance-guy-turned-dealer was dealing carnival games when I got there, so I think he's legit.

To welcome me back, they were nice enough to color up $475 into a $500 chip for me too!

So I think I've kept my game for now, but I'll be using a bit more cover just in case they decide to pay attention again.

I’ve established myself as a ploppy at my local casino for the last 16 years. Ever since I decided to count the cards at my local spot I haven’t played anything lower than a true 2. I know almost everyone who works at the casino on a first name basis and nobody has questioned my sudden change in play style. I bet $500 when it’s true 2 or higher and I don’t bet at all if it’s less. The only exception is I don’t remove my bet until I’ve lost a hand AND the true count is less than 1. So several times I’ve kept my bet out well in to a negative count and to start off the next shoe because I just hadn't lost yet. I recently started going with the higher $500 bets and I’m only in my first week of doing this. So far so good after about 40 hours of doing this. I did have a couple losing days though.

You must have some double black BR to support a $500 TC +2 hi lo... that or you are overbetting.

    I definitely agree with AngryCounter.
I wonder if he is spreading to like $1500 at +4 at his local casino lol

I'm not sure how much cover you're getting by flat-betting. It's only a matter of time until someone notices the pattern. What you are getting is more variance and/or less EV. I would widen out my bet spread, at least 1-4 and probably more, to get the money before they back you off.

I believe that Casinoguy is only flat betting $500.

Optimus Prime, I just posted four minutes after yours and did not see your post first. Anyway I agree with you and think a 1-4 spread would do the trick.

Only if he has a huge bankroll to be betting like $500 at +2

Most players would never recommend playing for 2.5 hours at a local casino.
