    mwilk: Mohegan Sun

Does anyone know of the conditions at Mohegan Sun? Are there any 6 deck tables?

I am going there with a group and I have no idea what to expect.

    Thanks.

I have never player Mohegan, but have and continue to play at various casinos in the East. During the last three months I have played in at least 6 various locations. The biggest change I have seen in Blackjack is the penetration. Damn near every casino I have recently visited has cut down on penetration. After Basic Strategy and counting cards the next biggest advantage to the casinos in reduced pen. Recently I visited two West Virginia casinos that deal only 8D games. Two days ago I played Wheeling Casino for the second time and now they are cutting 3 decks of the top. This makes the game unplayable for an AP (Advantage Player - Card Counter) because the game can't be beat unless using at least a 20/1 spread. Extremely difficult to maintain "cover" with such a large spread.

Mohegan has many 6 deck tables, all with the same bad (4.2/6) cut. As you many know, the game is S17, DAS, LS. Good luck.

The cut is dealer dependent, but in general, poor.

Thanks for the response. Do you know what the minimum is for the 6-deck tables.

    Also, is Foxwoods any better?

Foxwoods is a bit better. 8 deck shoe, cutting off a bit more than 1 deck in my experience, maybe 1.5 tops. Lots of $15 games.

They do have 6D in the high limit area (>$100)

Weekdays you can find $10 and $15 tables at MS--all tables are 6D
