dcbclimb: Average # cards per hand

The average number of cards dealt per hand is 2.7 but it's supposedly less for single deck heads up play. Does anyone know precisely how many cards are dealt per hand when playing single deck blackjack all by yourself? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Dog Hand: CVData Results: 2.73

    dcbclimb,

I ran a 400-million-hand sim for a SD, H17, D10 (Reno rules) game with RO6 penetration for a single player using complete HiLo.

The average number of cards consumed at the beginning of each round are as follows:

    # Cards
    1 1.00
    2 6.46
    3 11.91
    4 17.37
    5 22.83
    .

Thus, you can see that each round uses 5.45 or 5.46 cards for the two hands: an average per hand of 2.73.

    Hope this helps!
