    CV Blackjack under Windows 8

I've tested CV Blackjack and CVData/CVCX under Windows 8 and have not found any problems. Cassie's accent has changed, which is odd. If anyone finds any problems or oddities, please report.

No problems here. Unrelated to Windows 8 it seems that CVData really does not like the latest update offered on the site. SP21 sims keep showing as negative EV no matter what I try. The version on the CD seems to be just fine.

Go to Tools-Export and send me an exported file. [email protected]

CVCX can display data for pre-packaged simulations, but cannot do so for home-brewed sims: I can't run a simulation and then display the ramp/score/goodies that CVCX usually displays.

(No problems with CVData or CVBJ.)

Some peculiarity with permissions, maybe? Only a guess, since that's the only mysterious issue I am seeing in Windows 8 so far.

EDIT: The CVCX Results display with nothing but penetration, rules, spread, and a few other buttons. When I try to chart or compare, the error pop-up says "There is no valid sim present."

Works for me. Click Customize and set the default widgets.

Same message when I click "Customize": "There is no valid sim present."

Uninstalled CVCX and CVData, and reinstalled. Same issue. Looked at folder permissions and flipped a few switches to more permissive settings, but the problem remains.

The included simulations work fine, but it has some problem displaying self-run simulations. CVCX does display results and ramps for CVData simulations, however, so I can run anything in CVData and call CVCX from there, but I can't do direct comparisons within CVCX.

EDIT: The versions of CVData and CVCX are both V5. One thing Windows 8 does is have [email protected] as logins, an option which I accepted. I wonder if that figures here.

This is the msg that you get if you do not have Decks and Rules set to one of the sims in the sim file.

Did you try the SP21 Template? Were you using a count? You can go to Tools-Export and send me the configuration.
