    but not as wide-spread ? yet.

    "A new wireless biometric access system has been implemented at the Columbus Monaco hotel in Monaco. The hotel is equipped with a fingerprint authentication system which eliminates the need for room keys. On arrival, guests will be invited to place their fingertips on a fingerprint scanner. They can also pay bar and restaurant bills in this way."

    That's the entirety of the story so far, which I picked up off the Drudge Report. The whole idea make me very nervous. Am I alone in this?

    you are not alone, I'm a real paranoid when it comes to these things. I just love how it always starts with "an invitation" or some suggestion that it's for our own good. ...yeah. and so many accept this without ever looking deeper to the possibilities. we do live in scary times.
