    Brick: True count advantage.

Maybe my question is of no interest or difficult to answer, but I'll it on the main page.

"What is the average ev of a true count of exactly 1 for a typical H17 shoe game using hi-lo?"

I would not be surprised if the correct answer is a real eye opener. In other words, there is NO advantage. I've already prepared myself for the depressing news.

According to BJRM2000, with H17 DAS NS and 4.5/6 pen, average EV at TC +1 is .187. Better pen and/or rules will improve this figure a bit.

    Handy little program. :-)

Saboteur: Does BJRM2000 calculate EV "at TC of exactly 1"?

If that's the case, it's handy, indeed.

    Brick: No.

BJRM calculates the average ev of tc's from 1-1.99.

I think you misunderstood my question.

I think he did too. Brick is looking for the EV at a TC of 1.0 only, not 1.1 or 1.2, etc. I don't know of any software that will do that, but you could program it yourself with the SimSimp program. I've attached a link below.

Although, to be honest, the usefulness of an "average" EV figure at a precise TC also escapes me.

But maybe I'm just slow today.

The question doesn't have much meaning since there are extremely few hands with an exact TC of 1. Now if the question was 1.0-1.09 it would have more meaning. But 1.1-1.19 may have a lower EV and/or 0.9-.99 higher.

Ok,I'll try to make my question much more meaningful. What is the average EV from a TC of .5 to 1.5?

Norm Wattenberger: About -.015% to -.02%

    HiLo, H17, DAS, 80% pen., Ill18.

My BJRM 2002 is giving me 0.033 at TC 1. It also gives a little bit more on better pen.

I'm using BJRM2000. I selected Hi-lo, 6D, H17DAS, 4.5 of 6, across the top. The fine print reads: "Game conditions: I18 (and Fab4). Four players total. We're on 3rd Base. Face up game." Reading the "ev" line in the chart, I see "0.187" for TC +1.
