Instinct rolls on BJ Play ?

As Coyote said in other thread such as; "If you are willing to pay a little bit of money at a nickle table, then nothing can beat real world experience.",
I'm paying and experiencing at a nickle table. But, wondering how my performance is so bad recently.

I was playing at nickle table, in a mid shoe, count went up, raised bet to spread 10, won 3-4 times, $200 up, heard whispering 'stop now !', count was still high, kept betting higher, lost hands in a row, wiped out all, down to -$400. It was $600 swing. New shoe started, another $200 loss. Exit.

What is armor of APs ? Instinct rolls on their play ? Can they predict tornados ? Do they have just counting (fast enough) and indices (for play variation) ? Some people said it simple dimensional linear analysis. That would be it for me. I can do it, but not beyond.

Do they really enjoy rainfall as said in many books ? Do I need INSTINCT to avoid thunder/lightening ?

    1. Instinct has no place in Blackjack
    2. You should not play in a casino until you have mastered the game. It is a ridiculously expensive way to practice.
    3. Short-term results have no meaning.

Ate you betting with a right ramp? Are you using a true count or running count? Without a real optimal ramp, you can double your bets when it is not the right count easily.

And of course practice practice practice.....

$600-800 swings are nothing, even at a $5 table. If such a swing causes you to quit then you must be underfunded and shouldn't be playing.

Pay Heed ! Do not play until you are properly capitalized, and have done sufficient study and practice.

    Greg,

Most counters will fail, that is a fact. Maybe you will be one, at least you tried. That being said, to succeed it will take exceptional SKILLZ at counting, power indice plays, discipline, intelligence to think outside the box, and demeanor. Other SKILLZ, STing AND and extreme focusing, visualization, what I call,,,"zoning". There are more than a couple ways to approach the game and beat the game, but you should be playing a very good BJ game from the start, condition wise.

Instinct,,,,in time you will develope it in some key areas, not as to raising or lowering your bets however, that is all math, the game is math and SKILLZ.
Your bankroll, your only going to build it by playing, or working and adding to it that way, or you are rich to begin with, but if you are sweating the losses then you are over betting at this time with your present bank roll.

    My Best,
    Ouchez

My question to you greg16394 are you sure of your count? If so, then no big deal.

Why did you bet higher when you were already at a $5-$50 spread and you are supposed to be practicing? Sounds like you were steaming! Best get that under control now or stop playing!

Take time to reflect on this and reevaluate your game for changes.
