    bill: soft 18

I really want to know now, if i must hit soft 18 vs. Ace or not(6 decks), when TC >1. Many pros told me in the past, that you always hit this hand, but Wong tells us, that you stand.

    Thanks

    Norm Wattenberger: Depends

You hit at TC<1 with S17 and always hit with H17. The two situations are quite different. Below are the charts for A7 vs A for S17 and H17. In the S17 chart, the higher the count the better it is to stand and the worse to hit. There is a clear crossover point where Standing has a higher EV. But with H17, the higher the count the higher the EV whether hitting or standing. There is no clear crossover point.
