    Mr. Ed: Line of Credit

I already have a Frequent Player Card at my favorite casino. Would it hurt me to get establish a line of credit? I'm a red chip player and my bankroll is $5000, my session bankroll is $1200.

Also, is it a crime to use a fake ID to get a Frequent Player Card, or to use someone else's card? Is it a crime to possess a fake ID?

Probably more hassle that it is worth at your betting level. Keep in mind that casinos do not like to write markers for less than $500. Also, they get upset if you get a marker, play for ten minutes, and then cash in your chips and go to the casino across the street.

Depends. Laws vary greatly from state to state, all the way from "no big deal" to felony. And if you're on an Indian reservation, things become even more murky.

Also, the current political climate makes getting caught with fake ID and a large sum of cash a Bad Thing, no matter what the letter of the law.

All of these questions are answered in the book "Blackjack and the Law" by attorneys Nelson Rose and Bob Loeb, for sale on our online catalog. Also, if you have an interest in this sort of thing, I suggest that you check out our catalog section of books on privacy, which include books on how to obtain all sorts of ids.

There's a link to our catalog at the top of the page, and you can always email me or call to place an order.
