Should you include computer play in your record keeping?

There is very little difference between a real casino bj game and playing against a simulated game,
assuming the simulator is a true mirror of the bj game you play. You are playing bj even though the money isn't real. The cards don't know the game is simulated.

Could simulated play end a losing streak?
Could simulated play end a winning streak?
Could it get you into the long run sooner?
What if you only go to a real casino when you are winning on your simulator.

Someone in Vegas with easy access might want to test the above and post your results here.

Blackjack can't remember what has already happened and the future that is affected by history ends at the cut card.

    No. I am not.

This was a serious post on bj21 years ago.

What Sonny posted had no meaning to me. I don't recognize any of the names. Nearly responded to him but, decided not to.

How do I pay my mortgage with the results from a simulated game?

Come on, everyone knows a hot streak on the computer means you're on a hot streak that has to carry forward to a real casino. I thought everyone knew that.

You wouldn't have a mortgage, you'd be paying cash for everything.

Am I the only one who thinks outside the box? I guess so, there is no one else around.

There is going to be a lot of disappointed counters if blackjack doesn't remember to conform to the odds and give them their 1 to 1 1/2% advantage.

An afterthought. If you and others are correct about simulated play not having any affect on real play, then there is no harm done if you try it, because your next casino play will play out as it normally would.

Actually, I would argue that advantage players are the ONLY people in the entire casino who think "outside the box". "Inside the box" is where the superstitions of degenerate gamblers, system players, and believers in star alignment affecting the cards exist. These "inside the box" thinkers huddle in masses and always use their own anecdotal evidence to support their mathematically unverifiable beliefs and will argue for them unflinchingly despite the mountains of evidence that prove them false. Walk into any casino in the world and you will find thousands of the like minded thinkers you seek.

Neither does real play have any effect on other real play. Very few things can effect your play-- keeping an accurate count and getting enough sleep beforehand so you don't make mistakes are two of them.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
