    RobT: practicing basic strategy

I've created an online basic strategy training game, hosted at www.robtougher.com. All comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome!

You don't specify if the game we're playing is SD, DD, shoe, etc. You don't specify if surrender is permitted or not, or if the dealer hits oft 17 or stands.

Each time I clicked on a decision, the next player hand was off my screen and I had to scroll down. That became annoying.

    Don,

I put this information on the "info" page for the Blackjack trainer: it is a generic, multi-deck (read="shoe") strategy, where the dealer stands on soft 17, and surrender is permitted. I used the strategy in Wong's Basic Blackjack.

I'm not sure what you mean by having to scroll down after making a decision. Is the real estate of your browser small enough so that you can't see your hand without scrolling down? I'll have to do something about that.

Once you make a decision, a new hand is dealt - the hands aren't evaluated.

Thanks alot for taking the time to go up to the site, Don. It's much appreciated!

    Sorry. I missed that.

I have to scroll down to "center" my hand and the dealer's upcard. After making a play, the next hand once again cuts off my cards, and I have to scroll down again. If I play a hand wrong, I can't read the correction in red, at the bottom, without scrolling down, so I don't know it's even there.

They are evaluated if you make a wrong decision.

    You're welcome.
