    BJ10: 10K

many developing countries require you to declare your money on your way in and out if the amount is greater than 10k USD.

Let say you happen to win another 20k on your trip.
On your way out you need to declare 30k. In which case the custom need prove how you made that 20k.

how do you get prove? ask the casino to write you a note?

how else can you transfer the money out?

I know my friends just shove it in their bag and board the plane.

First of all, some of your assumptions are incorrect. Requirement to declare is imposed in most countries, developing or most developed (including US, Canada, EU countries etc.) Also, the amount, triggering the declaration varies greatly and may be expressed in country's local currency. However, there are generally two types of countries - first one, you can just declare your cash on exit, tell them you won it in a casino (or, basically, tell them whatever comes to your mind), and no further proof is needed. This works fine in countries such as USA, Canada, European Union and many more. Some countries, however (mostly developing countries, also countries from former Soviet block) simply do not allow to export more cash than you brought in. Prior to travel, you have to find it out. If latter is the case, you have no other way than either hide your money, or try to get it out via other means (bank transfer, Western Union etc.). And finally, there are some countries, that simply would not allow to take neither in or out more than certain sum of cash (supposed, they can find it, if course). For example, in Colombia you cannot take in/out more than 10k$, no matter what kind of proof you might have.

I and 2 friends carried $70K into Colombia, $40K was confisticated and the money was released with $8K bribe waiting about a week. My friend was caught $20K extra when leaving Colombia recently. He asked politley in Spanish "Will $1K do?" and was accepted. I was caught carrying $30k once at Korea. I was taken to a room counting how much moeny I had. The solo officer siganlled for gift, I was inexperienced then and paniced giving $3K in Traveler Check... $1K should be enough. I was caught at Nepal... I declared but didn't get proof. I was given chances to bribe but ignored it thinking I could be saved with the original declaration form whihc was not kept when no proof was given. I ended jailed 76 days...: (

easy declaration at Airport incheon. Just declare your money at incheon airport when arriving . Everything Very politely. No problem with big cash. Tell them you are gambling at various places. They give you a receipt of the amount you declare.

You can only bring out how much you bring in though. You can buy US$ from the casinos should you win at higher rate and the casinos will give you a receipt proofing your win.
