Cheju is an island off the southern coast of South Korea. It's primarily a tourist attraction and also has the highest cluster of casinos in Korea.

I'm staying in Seogwipo, a city on the south end of the island. I've been to two casinos thus far. The Paradise casino inside the Lotte Hotel (the best hotel by far on the island), and the Diamond Casinos inside the Hyatt Regency (the second best hotel).

The Paradise casino is very nice, the largest casino I've been to in my travels with the best service. The pit crew are all amicable as are the dealers. Rules are standard for Korea. Tables are 10,000-500,000 won and 50,000-2,000,000. S17, DAS, Late Surrender, penetration is 80%, 6 decks.

The Diamond casino is possibly the worst scenario possible. 6 Decks, 65% penetration, maybe even 60%. Tables are only 10,000-300,000 won. No DAS, no surrender against dealer Ace, hands are dealt so quickly that players don't even have the time to count their cards up before they're swept up by the dealer along with their bets.
