Can I learn blackjack terms in French?

    Hey,

I'm going to France for a small vacation and might run into a casino for a bit of fun. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a website or app that simply plays blackjack in French? Instead of saying things like "BLACKJACK" "BUSTED" "TWENTY-ONE" "THIRTEEN" "DEALER BUSTS" "INSURANCE?" the website or app's audio would say this in french? I know there are hundreds of blackjack apps that call out your hand and the common dealer keywords in english, so perhaps there are some done in French?

    A couple of points:

Do you speak French? If so, I can point you to a French Blackjack site.

If not, why bother? You shouldn't be listening to the dealers about the game. Only reasons to talk to a dealer is to be overheard by the pit, show your lack of concentration in the game (not a problem in France), or gain some other edge. Of course, you can do that in English as English is commonly known in France, particularly in tourist spots.

I speak a small amount of French--basically as much as I have learned to prepare for my vacation--and what I haven't forgotten from college courses. I just wanted to familiarize myself around a french blackjack table. What is the French blackjack site?

No idea how good it is, but try http://www.guide-blackjack.com/

I speak French natively so if you have any questions I can try to field them.

Ah oui! Monsieur G! Je me rappelle d'avoir découvert le site dans le passé (I remember running across it in the past). Looked OK to me.

Don and I have known him for a long time. He is legit.

And, France has a large number of casinos. A few with excellent rules.

The problem with France is that the CSMs are spreading like the plague.

I found my high school French to be sufficient to play in the French casinos. I think the hard part, after checking in, showing your passport, etc., is not being distracted by the totals the dealer calls out as the dealer deals out the card. "Douze, Soixante...Ohh Zutte!!" FYI - the tables tend to be separate from the slots, so it's a lot quieter. You can hear the sounds of the chips, and the murmurings, at the roulette tables. Also, there's a lot of over the shoulder betting, so that's an additional distraction. And be prepared for ENHC.

"as the dealer deals out the card. "Douze, Soixante..."

You're unlikely to hear "soixante." We don't usually get to SIXTY with a blackjack hand!!

I stand corrected! It would be "seize" .... (God, it's been awhile...)
