    Charity Games

I had heard mention of these and thought how cool, except I wouldn't want to take money from a benevolent organization.

I went to an ethnic-food-Christmas bazaar, and was excited to see a Blackjack area with several tables - then I saw 2 things that floored me - BJ pays 1-1 and dealer wins ties!

As if standard casino BJ isn't sucky enough! Is there a company that provides charity game banners with rules, etc?

    Sounds like Double Exposure rules.

It is for charity. It is not for lining your pockets. Capiche ? These are diametrically opposed activities.
You accept that you will "lose" while you socialize and laugh away the money you wish to donate.

Donating the money directly to the charity and claiming an income tax deduction against it would be a more EV-positive play.

As a gambler, if you're going to play BJ and lose, would you rather your money go to charity or a casino's bottom line? I would imagine tax deductions would be the last thing on their minds.

I really hate when APs want to take money from the homeless, poor, disabled or our local fire department. The rules probably suck because there are people out there that would try to take the blanket from a homeless guy or the medicine from a sick person or let his neighbors house burn down if it made them a few bucks.

While I agree, the house edge of rules here in Michigan have something like a 5% HA IIRC......kinda criminal, charity or not.

I was disappointed I couldn't make the Catholic festival that has the craps table this year .

If you wanted to, you could practice wonging for $1 bets, although there wouldn't be a TC at which it would be positive. But it would let you get practice...
