    DD - Worth playing?

    Hi all.
Theres a new DD game at one of my local stores.
    Rules are:

    DD, DOA, DAS, RS4, ES10, BJ 6:5, Pen 70%
You can also surrender after splitting hands.

    Is it worth playing?
Is it better than a 6D with all the same rules, but 3:2 on BJ and 80% penetration?
Never had any experience with DD.

    Thanks!

Let me take a shot at this guys. see if i learned anything from you all this past month or so.Please add to it of course or correct if i'm wrong.
Bj6.5 is a ripoff Pen is very important so the 3:2 bj and the 80% pen on the 6 deck is a much better game.

Stay away from that DD. Focus on the 6D.

The DD with the 6;5 payout makes the game very difficult to beat with card counting. It might be possible with a specialized count and a 20-1 spread to have some advantage. It's not worth the hassle as the 6D 3;2 with 80% can be more easily exploited.

If the dealers are learning to pitch a hand held game there may be other opportunities. This sounds like european rules with no hole card so most likely not.

As Norm says, 6:5 blackjack isn't blackjack.

I would generally lean toward the shoe. But the SD could be playable, if they'll tolerate a large spread. ES 10 helps. 70% pen is pretty good for that game. Is there a cutcard, or do they do rounds?

Remember that 6:5 is an additional 1.3% in favor of the house. So forget it. It doesn't make any difference what the rest of the rules are.

Id like to add a couple of things to this:
    - The game allows surrendering after splits (by the way, can anybody tell me what this does to the house edge?)
    - If you split 10s or Aces and receive a BJ it actually pays as if it was a BJ (6:5 of course)
    - I can spread this game x200. I can go from one hand of $10 to two of $1000 each with NO PROBLEM.
Does this make this game more attractive?

I'm running a quick sim right now. Not sure if it includes surrendering after split or BJ on split hands, but it'll get a rough estimate, I hope.

With a $250K bankroll, playing $10 from TC <= 3, then 2x1000 at TC > 3, you have a 3.9% ROR, $231/hour in EV, the SCORE is 15, and N0 is 66,000. I'd imagine the figures would look a little better if the ES on split hands was included and BJ payouts on split hands as well...but not by much. Not to mention, I think variance would be a b****. Look at the 6D game, my friend.
