    1-120 spread

I was playing at the closest casino to me recently(not really local). I sat at the $5 table (3:2, H17, 4.5/6 pen) because it was empty and I haven’t been at a live table for a couple months. Anyway, on the 3rd shoe the count (I use KO) went up to +11 (from -20 to start the shoe). I started increasing my bets and pressed everytime I won. The folks at the table seemed to be continuously eating low cards. I eventually got myself up to 3 spots of table max $200 with a running count of +10 with a deck and a half to go and cut card coming soon. Got a blackjack, blackjack, and 20 on my 3 hands for a $800 win. I walked away after this, booking a total $1500 win in 45 mins

So is spreading $5 - 3 x $200 considered a 1-120 spread or do you have to account for the covariance?

If all you want to know is what spread you are utilizing, covariance has nothing to do with that. Going from $5 to 3 x $200 is most definitely a 1-120 spread. As to the amount you should spread when going from one hand to multiple hands, that's where covariance is utilized. Your betting pattern clearly does not include calculating for covariance. Your minimum bet is so low that you're a mere $5 away from being a backcounter.

Yes, for the purposes of the pit, you are spreading from $5 to $600, so 1-120. But, if you're asking if the SCORE or win rates are the same as if you bet $5 to $600 on one hand, that answer is no.

Would you have stayed and dropped your 3x200 back to 1x5 when the next shoe started?
