Blackbelt in Blackjack - same chapter as depth charging, chapter 15 - The Unencountered Counter - starting at the half way mark of page 201. I use a variation of the opposition betting described. Done properly, it’s effective strategy. Keep in mind, my approach is not to knock it out of the park every time at bat, rather maximizing revenue over n sessions.

I haven't read that Snyder book in years. I would assume he is referring to simulating martingale only when you are playing in a +EV situation. Even then probably eventually just end up overbetting your roll and go busto, but I can "maybe" see a time and place for it. What I find funny is when people like Don or Norm take their time to explain the flaws of progression systems and such and rather than the person listening and trying to understand they just start arguing back.

It's really simple. All you need to do is ask for an infinite marker. Of course by law, the casino must have an infinite amount of cash on hand. An infinite amount of time could also be necessary.

True enough. It’s actually best to read at point described. It’s really quite entertaining and thought provoking. Note, I said - simulate Martingale - it’s not a true martingale.
