    Blackjack 2:1 with CSM

    Hi, I live in Portugal. There is a casino near me.

    They have Blackjack-Tables with bj-payout 3:2 , DAS, RSA , S17, european style (No Peek) with a CSM
    I heard they would make a Promotion: every last Friday in the month a Blackjack pays 2:1.

    Should I play because I have an edge ? Or rather not because they have a CSM?

    i don‘t know how small or good the Players edge would be in this case with bj-payout 3:2

    The csm doesn't change the fact you have a significant edge off the top. You don't need to count cards.

    I doubt the opportunity will last much longer now you've posted it though. Unless the max is $50 equivalent or something.

    There have always been a significant minority of card counters across Europe,

    If the limits are high enough it is worthwhile paying the airfare, even considering the one day per month only thing.

    It used to be common for Americans to scout for this type of play also though I doubt they ever made much money after expenses.

    Dont know specifically about Portugal but there are A LOT of european players that read this forum, many of them with the capacity to destroy a game like that if stakes are high.

    On topic: Do CSMs affect blackjack frequency in any meaningful way beyond normal variance?

    Different house edge calculators evaluate the player's advantage from 1.6 to 1.9 percent, assuming 6 deck game with no surrender.
