    Question Thorp Ultimate

I started card counting with Hi-Lo then learnt Hi-Opt II ac and ended up with just Hi-Opt II but now I'm curious about Thorp Ultimate I don't think it's that hard to learn just a lot of practice but there are no sims of it on CVCX is there anywhere I can get more information on it?

Forget it. Put the ASC back with Hi-Opt II and you're as good as it's going to get.

There are no significant gains to be found over HO2 with any public count system.

That is correct, there is no "public" counting system that surpasses HO2/A, but there are "private" level 3 and level 4 systems that are superior.
These systems also require an ASC.

I have run simulations using Thorp Ultimate, and they have been really disappointing. As Don said, it's really not worth it compared to what you already know.

You need to forget about it. The single-deck games it was intended for are nonexistent now. You're reading about something created 63 years ago. Do you really think it's "cool" to count fives as +11 and aces as -9 all the way through a shoe game?!

honestly kinda I love the challenge I wanna see how far I can take it it's so complex and niche I love it

edit: but alas I will stick to Hi-Opt II I have perfected it and the ev and lower ROR it offers over Hi-Lo is very nice

I don’t understand why you say "unfortunately" about sticking with Hi-Opt II. It’s not unfortunate at all. OTOH, RoR has nothing to do with the counting system you use.
I think you should read a bit about what we call SCORE, which is what we usually use to compare systems. BJA3 is where you should start.

ive read about score I still don't really understand it ngl also I say unfortunately just cause it would've been cool if thorpe ultimate offered a HUGE advantage over any counting system but alas from what yall are saying it doesnt ( also CVCX says ROR improves with better counting systems??

I'm not convinced that even a perfect blackjack playing computer could have a "huge" advantage over someone using the strongest level 2 systems.
