Dumb things we use to do...

Just for fun I thought I'd share some dumb things I use to do when first starting. If anyone else has anything please share for some laughs.

I use to always double down on a hard 12. When the dealer had a 4, 5, 6 up. When the count was negative a little. Say a -3 to -7 in a toss game. 1d or 2d.
Reasons was the dealer would always yell to the pit boss "double on a breaking hand" Thinking this would bring less heat. Also to help the count go higher so the dealer would bust.

Yes there is lots of times it worked out. I'd win. Yet eventually I realized it's just not worth it. Unless I really am trying to get off heat etc. Also math always wins of course lol.

Anyone else have dumb funny things? Honestly it took a good couple of months to stop. As it felt like I'd win 48% of the time. It'd help the dealer to bust too even if I lost. Saving the table most the time. Yet I had to worry about myself not some ploppys who gets mad after I saved them 5 hands in a row. You know how it goes. =)

Thinking I could better the system ( card counting system ) and always leave positive thinking at some point in the day I would be at least a small amount. Before I accepted wonging and before not caring what other gamblers think at the table about wonging or leaving in general. ( gamblers in my area don’t like when you leave when it’s good after winning )

    Are they all like that?

I once saw a counter moving his lips as he was counting the cards! So, perhaps have someone watch you while you practice at home so these small, sometimes oblivious-to-us habits can be discovered before venturing into a casino.
