    Winter 2024-2025

First snow of the winter today on Nov 1st. It was just a dusting and was melted by noon. Both Sept and Oct had above average temps and were very warm.

We're hitting a record high today - so depressing. My big thing is winter sports, ice, snow, etc. But we can take a road trip North for a vacation.

Our La Nina winter has arrived. First snow big enough to shovel has arrived which is about 10 days late. Will be an interesting winter.

Snow won't let up. It just keeps snowing and snowing. Over a foot on the ground since Monday.

Today was the first day it didn't snow since Nov 27th. For the second time this year, I brushed off over a foot of snow from my outside car.

If this is going to be a normal winter we have about a third of our winter snow. Just 135 more inches to go.

Weird winter so far for us this year. From the last week of Nov to about the middle of Dec it snowed almost every day. It was cold and a lot of lake effect snow like 75 inches worth. Then for the last couple of weeks no snow and above average temps with rain and fog. About half of our snow melted, but now it is freezing up again and my driveway is like a sheet of ice. I don't know how I will get down the driveway with my garbage bin with all the ice. Last year I wiped out on the ice. In fact I told our mailman to not walk in the driveway, but in the snow on the side. We had about 2 feet of snow on the ground, but now only about a foot is left.

Well, some how I have to get the garbage bin down to the road. My snow plower said he would scrape down the driveway for $50 bucks, but I thought that should be included with the snow removal and not have to pay extra for it. Also if he scraped too hard he might damage the driveway so I hemmed and hawed about having him do it until its now too late. Its freezing up again and once that happens it is too difficult to get the ice up.

In my younger years, I would have gotten the old ice scrapper out and got the ice off myself. However, I just recently received my Zio patch results and I have pvc's (premature ventricular contractions) so maybe chopping ice is not the best thing to do. However they say exercise is good for pvc's.

Yeah, 21forme these winters will kill me yet.
