Mission completed on a wing and a prayer. I did manage to get my garbage bin down to the road and back without wiping out. My wife was watching out the window and saw our neighbor wipe out and fall on his back. His driveway is flat, but mine has a fairly steep incline. I did walk in the snow on the side of the driveway.
Last year I wiped out and couldn't get up and had to crawl about 15 feet to the garage to find something to hang onto so I could pull myself up. Boy, that snow is cold on bare hands. Then a few years before that on another wipe out I fell again and cracked a rib. Now I have to figure out how to get to my outside car to start it so the battery doesn't go dead. We need some snow to cover up the ice.

Nasty and cold weather out there right now. At 11:00 a.m we have -1 while International Falls has -20. We also have raging lake effect snow going on which keeps us warmer. Anyway, this week I plan to get the roof shoveled.
This past week when I was brushing off a foot of snow from my outside car for the third time this year I slipped, and down I went for my first wipe out of this winter. My wife was supposed to be watching from the window, but she was too busy playing on her kindle to even notice. Once I fall, I can't get up unless I have something to hang onto. Fortunately, I had gloves on and it wasn't like like last year when I had to crawl bare hands in the snow. I managed to grab onto the hood by the windshield wipers and pull myself up, but I needed both hands and it must of took me about 2 minutes to finally get up. The wife didn't even know I fell.

Because I already answered it in the past. The U.P. is my home and I don't want to go anywhere else. Yes, the winters can be kind of tough when you get older, but you can adjust. I enjoy a good blizzard.
Anyway, there is no school tomorrow because of the bad weather conditions. Check out the web cam now. Hardly can see out there.
