Best rules in the New England/Mid-Atlantic Region
Looking for the best games in the New England/Mid-Atlantic region. Been finding a lot of 8 deck shoes with terrible penn, amongst other disadvantages. Casino's with less traffic too would be an added +

CBJN is your answer...mostly.
You have to do your own work as well. I have one casino specifically in that general region that has pretty good pen as well as one dealer that cuts off like 0.5 decks of an 8 deck shoe. I couldn't believe it. But I'm not about to blab that out to anyone. And I suggest you shouldn't either if you find one. And I also suggest that publicly discussing, "Casino X has better pen than most places...especially dealers Jim And Mary" is really really counterproductive because it will quickly get back to them and corrections can be made.

Pennsylvania has the best rules, by law. But if you're looking for people to tell you what placed have great pen and bad game protection, that's usually not handed out on public boards.

Both Sidecount and moo321 are right. CBJN is very nice to start your search with the rules for each casino. However, penetration isn't always the one you will find on the tables, that's why you have to make your own research by visiting these casinos or have very closed friends willing to share info with you. None of us wants the detailed conditions shared on open free boards. This would simply kill games. Usually, most of the joint listed 4.5/6 will be around that cut but sometimes, if you go on the spot, you can find a surprising 5.25/6 or even better ! We don't have to be some MIT graduate to understand that such information shared on open boards would kill the game in a few days/weeks...
Conclusion: Get a copy of CBJN and make a selection based on rules, number of tables, min/max and distance from your home, then go there and have a look ! Most of the times you will find what was listed to be correct and "sometimes" you will get a pleasant surprise.
