How to Simulate SMC with ASC

You'll have to forgive me if this information is already out there but I'm having trouble finding it.

How would one simulate the Secret Monkey Count with an Ace Side Count for an H17 Redouble Spanish 21 game on CVDATA? It's mainly the ASC that is causing me the confusion.

Under the betting tab you can do adjustments based on the ace density. You're already counting the ace -2, so I'm not sure how much more an ace side count is going to affect things.

If you're going to side count aces, usually you use an ace neutral count. You definitely wouldn't use a count where the ace is weighted heavily, like the Secret Monkey.

That makes sense. What do you think of side counting aces with Kat’s Hi-Lo on a 4-deck game?

That would give a better improvement in performance than on the Secret Monkey count.

But, again, if you're going to the trouble of doing an ace side count on a shoe game, you should use a count that gets a big enough gain to justify it. And that means ace neutral. Something like tens counted as -2, 2,3,4, and 6 as +1 and 5 as +2 would be a pretty powerful system to look at.

Or if you wanted to stay level one, you could just count the tens -1, and 3-6 as +1.

I’ll take a look at both on CVDATA. Thank you!
