One seller on ebay with 3 copies of Exhibit CAA

How can one seller on eBay have 3 copies of Exhibit CAA that's selling within the last month? I always thought there were very limited printings, and for one person with 1 ebay feedback to have at least 3 copies seems a bit unlikely.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/365013614648 - sold
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/365037284480 - sold

I've also seen this person with multiple copies of Beyond Counting but at least he has a significant amount of ratings
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/285987636911
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/285897993074

But even in the feedback it seems like he has sold 10+ copies of Beyond Counting https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/mweb_profi...sort=RELEVANCE

Actually it looks like he's often seeling "Batch Of 3 Copies Beyond Counting James Grosjean - REPRODUCTION (#285152004041)" and sometimes marking them as not reproductions. shouldn't someone ban this seller?

Are there a secret stash of these books somewhere or is someone making counterfeits

Why are you posting an ad for him?

Because I'm not sure one way or the other and I'm thinking about buying one. Also if people wanted to buy one they'd go to ebay anyway not much of an ad.

$1800 for CAA seems ok if it's a legit copy, not ok if it's a fake. But 1 person with 3 copies seems very unreasonable.

The other guy I'm just not even sure, I think 90% chance it's fake.

Seems fishy. There were 250 copies printed. I sold mine a few years ago via this forum (3K).

The question as to whether it is fake is not something we could tell offhand. The original book printing was amateur so I would imagine it would not be difficult to fake, but I'm not a specialist in forgery. You would need to speak to experts in that field.

Not sure why you say that.

BTW, someone once told me that every copy was slightly different, so it could be traced back to the original buyer, for whatever purpose that serves.

The first one this guy sold looks exactly like mine, which was professionally bound. The measurements in the current eBay listing are not quite correct.

I’m the seller your referencing to above .. I had four copies but currently have two and for everyone’s info on this thread I got the four copies from a storage unit my ex and myself had purchased ( we used to buy and flip storage units ) and they were in one of the units n. Any other questions about the authenticity of the book or anything at all feel free to refer to my eBay listing and I’ll gladly answer them thanks!

My copy with glossy book cover paper, I bought it directly from JG in year 2010(or 2012 ?) if not mistakenly.

Looks similar to the photos in the second book on my list. Seems like someone bought the first one, if it was from this forum would be interesting to hear from them

Reading the supposed seller below...not sure how hard it would be for someone to recreate it exactly the same. Doesn't some of the images of the pages look a bit off margin
