    Index plays vs. BS

I have been comparing index plays of different systems. A handful of systems including the one I use show H 16 < 0 for 16 vs T. Why would BS say to hit 16 vs T?
Doesn't BS always just assume a 0 count?

    UncleChoo,

    Short answer: no

    Long answer: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ;-)

Think about it: heads up, first hand of the shoe, you get 10-6 vs. 10, so now the RC is -1 (HiLo) and thus the TC is NOT 0... but BS still says to Hit.

This has been repeatedly mentioned. A true count of 0 and Basic Strategy IS NOT the same thing

Thanks Dog Hand! I am in some weird mental phase where I am wanting to try and compare counting deviations to BS and see what is gained by the deviation vs the BS.
Unfortunately, I was the guy who skipped over the chaper appendixes in TOBJ.

I am excited for the release. You need to start cracking the whip at the prinitng press. I expect it to be excellent like BJA. BJA is my favorite Blackjack book becasue it discusses some difficult concepts in a way that a non-mathematician
can understand wihtout dumbing down the concept to much.

Not sure about that one. The books will be there and I'm going to be here! Not planning to be back in LV any time soon. Don't really see a practical solution. Sorry about that.

I understand that Arnold Snyder signed a certain number of Radical Blackjack books prior to release and they were then made available via Huntington Press. In this case there are two authors living in different countries so it's more difficult. An alternative suggestion is to set up an online discussion which then gives the reader a chance to ask questions. That can be done here as well but it's a much slower process.
