    Dealing with backoffs

Do you guys ever go back and try to play at a casino where you were backed off? How long should you wait before trying to go back? I guess the worst that can happen is you are trespassed?

Is it a good idea to count cards at an Indian reservation like Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun? I've heard that counters don't have the same rights at tribal casinos that they do at regular casinos.

Yes. Depends on how big a place it is, how quickly staff turns over, how memorable you are, etc. I've gone back to some (though not those I've been trespassed), on a different shift, the next day. Some others have remembered me more than 10 years later.

I was backed off from Foxwoods about 15 years ago. They were very polite to the point where the shift mgr said he knew I was there with my family and he'd let me stay in the comped room that night as long as I didn't play. So I drove to Mohegan to play. Foxwoods did zero out my points, but they honored the comped room. It's true that rights differ at tribal casinos, but they still have negative publicity to deal with if something bad happens. I would feel more comfortable at a large place such as Foxwoods, as opposed to a hole in the wall in Oklahoma.

Hey...it's a GREAT idea to count cards at Indian casinos, among others....

Time will tell as far as revisiting backoffs....really depends on severity, stakes tolerance, laws and your game

    Good luck,

Yes and I specifically went to a few that gave me nasty backoffs in Vegas while masks were still required out of spite.

the initially refused to cash my chips unless i showed id. i'm no where near 21 and refused. they threatened to call the cops. i said go ahead. about 15 mins go by still no cops but "ok we're gonna pay you out and then trespass you". they pay me and read me the nevada trespass statute. I was never rude and leave.

I had been backed off maybe 10 times in vegas over about 500 hours of play across 2 years- mostly super polite and the word trespass was never even mentioned. In the next 2 days I got trespassed in one casino and threatened with a trespass in another casino. I had never even been backed off in either of of these casinos before and hadn't played in either one in at least 6 months. It's not a coincidence these 2 casinos all of the sudden went from 0 to this extreme.

Fuck them with the tresspass shit. If they don't have your name, how can they pretend they ever tresspass you when you return ?
They migh try to prove it with a picture... So ? "It's not me, it's a double, a spitting image".

Yea they don't have my name.
The funny thing is the second place to trespass me asked "do you want to give your id?" I said no and they said ok which was kind of funny.
