    Surrender option in Black Jack

If a Black Jack game at a casino has a surrender option, can I surrender under any condition? (Not including dealer showing an Ace).

For example suppose that I am a novice player or an inebriated player and that I want to surrender even though I have a great hand. Would I still be able to surrender?

For example if the dealer is showing a face up card of 5, and my cards are a 10, and a 9 (19 total) can I still surrender even though it is very inadvisable for me to do so?

    Thanks in advance experts.

Yes, you can. If you do, a host will quickly come by and offer you a suite.
