CVCX vs APP Zen Indices different

Hi, as title states the indices in CVCX v6 for complete zen are different from the indices I get in the cv drills app for iphone using the same settings. Which indices are correct? Same settings are checked in both applications.

Example: CVCX v6 12v2: stand on 7 or higher, CVdrills 12v2: stand on 6 or higher.

    Thanks for any help.

The drills follow the specified rules. CVCX can simulate different rules and decks in one sim. Therefore, when you display the tables in CVCX, it can't display the indices for all rules and deck combinations at once. But, it will change the strategy automatically during the simulations according to the rules for the sim currently being run. So, they both use the correct indices. But, CVCX just displays the tables for one set when you hit Display Tables.

If you wish to see all the different tables in CVCX, you need to use Define/Edit Strategy instead of just Display Tables.

I think for ZEN under the mentioned rules (6D,H17) the index for 12v2 is +4 and not +7 or +6.

Both the new and old Zen tables are included with the different TC divisors. The indices come from the two books (with permission). The tables in CV are the tables people are used to -- not the best indices.

I am sure that if we calculate the index through CVindex we will also get +4. It amazes me that there are still people who blindly trust indices calculated more than 30 years ago. I don't know what compromises were made to get +7.
In this case the error is not minor.

    Sincerely,
    Cac
