Kharkov is a big city. I live in the southern part of the city, in the Airport area. My neighborhood has remained relatively intact, my house is intact. But bad events are expected and the situation can change at any moment. Now Russia has assembled a new strike force in the Belgorod area. Possible assault on Kharkov. I am in prelaunch readiness to go to Kyiv.

Kviv sounds much safer. Putin now seems aimed at just connecting Crimea with Russia, making eastern Ukraine in the way. And he doesn't seem to mind massive destruction and casualties on any side. One would think he would want Eastern Ukraine, with its large Russian speaking population, intact and acquired as a new soviet. But, now his focus is some sort of achievable success.
