    12 vs 6 index CVBJ

This morning while practicing CVBJ I got an error for not hitting 12 vs 6 at -1 (the index says 0). I changed the rules to dealer H17 and the index changed to -3. In BJA3, I18 says the index is -1. Also noticed I18 index for 13 vs 3 is -2. CVBJ is -1 for both H17 and S17. Some clarity please and thanks.

    I'm playing 4D, H17,DAS,RA,LS using hi lo

Stanford changed all the negative indices by one. The High Low tables in CVBJ are the newer tables. The Complete High Low are the older, better tables using flooring. He also made a few other changes.

    Latest research. Use the following:

    12 vs. 6: -1 (S17), -3 (H17)
    13 vs. 3: -2 (S17), -3 (H17)

    Don

P.S. Ah, sorry. Just noticed 4D. The above is for 6D. Can't swear that there aren't any differences.

4D, S17/H17, 75% pen, floored indices w/deck estimation to the exact card are exactly the same as the ones you posted.
Now, when deck estimation is calculated to the nearest half there is one change:

    13v3: -2 (H17)

    Cac

I don't understand why there is such a difference between S17 and H17.

    4D

    12 vs. 6: -1.2 (S17), -3.7 (H17)
    13 vs. 3: -2.5 (S17), -2.9 (H17)

Sorry to disagree Grama, according to my CA index analyzer, for 4D, 75% pen I got the following:

    12 vs. 6: -0.9 (S17), -3.3 (H17)
    13 vs. 3: -2.2 (S17), -2.6 (H17)

Obviously, when calculated by combinatorial analysis and up to 75% penetration, the results usually differ from the algebraic calculation through EORs.
Anyway, if I calculate the indices by simulation, the result should match the one I got through CA.

    Sincerely,
    Cac

My program uses a unique brute force kernel on the final deck, regardless of function Pen.

    13 vs. 3: -2.9 (H17)

I forgot to add TC -3 to the table.

    Stay -0.2817

Remember that I do take into account penetration. I'm not playing the last deck of the shoe and that make expectations vary.
Here is the data if I play until the last card. In this case the index does not change.

I'd love to play the last deck of a shoe.
