Lightbulb Looking for Professional BJ Players in SoCal Area

Hello everyone my player name is Darien and I am new on the Blackjack: The Forum! I recently got really into card counting around February and have been trying to improve my game everyday. I feel like I got most of the aspects down such as deviations, basic strategy, card counting, bet spreads (using CVCX), and basic bankroll management, but I struggle to get any sort of return whenever I go to a casino. I thought it would be a cool idea to reach out on this forum to get my play evaluated by a professional who is in the SoCal area (Pechanga, Morongo, San Manuel, Pala) so I can fix my mistakes and improve my game. I even heard teaming up can be a good idea to collect more returns. If you would be interested in evaluating my play and teaching me professional moves, I would love to team up and learn how to become a better AP.

Hope to be in contact soon!

I would say just keep practicing and play against the software until it's second nature , Making sure you are properly funded . i doubt any pro would reach out to team up with anyone. You really don't need anyone for most situation. what you need is good game(decent/good cut ,not crowded, tolerant ,rules come last) , solid skill, properly bankrolled. low expenses relative to EV. AP Blackjack is a dying trade.

Ask yourself if you are getting the spread you need for the game you’re playing. Are you being selective about the pen? Also, are you planning your playing time so there aren’t crowded tables? Are you keeping detailed logs? Are you play-all or Wonging in? Have you checked your stats (are you at EV +/- 1 SD) , though you need a decent amount of rounds to check this.

Staying on top of the edge

Hey! I appreciate the advice, but I do have a couple of questions what you are talking about since I am a novice player. Here are a couple of conditions that I always usually look out for:
    • Good deck pen from 70%+
    • Have 1-2 players on the table
    • I wong in and wong out due to my small bankroll of 1,500$

For EV, I calculated my EV to be 1.124% according to CVCX. I do not know if that is optimal or not. I also have a 1-6 bet spread that basically multiplies the minimum bet times the TC. I also do not know if this strategy is the best strategy to follow through. One last thing that I would like to ask is, what do you record for logging? I appreciate you guys reaching out and I look forward to learning more!

    Darrien,

I think your forecasted EV looks about right assuming you are Wonging, using Hi-Lo, and playing 6D, h17, das. What TC are you Wonging in at? Also, you should consider hitting your Max bet (6 units?) at a TC of 4 or 5, not 6.

For your log, I suggest you record for each table session

    Casino
    Game e.g., 6D, h17, das, 3:2, etc.
    Penetration e.g., 0.7
Running Count at Entry, and number of decks remaining (if Wonging) e.g., 15/5 (RC = 15, Decks remaining =5)
    Number of rounds
    Number of other players
Spread you are using e.g. 1-6
    Betting unit e.g., $10
    Win/Loss
Any notes you can about the session to help you remember how it went or mark significant events e.g, first Black chip bet, backed off, miss-pays, spilled drink, Ploppie at first base peed under the table... etc.

And make a habit to record it (maybe on your phone) as soon as you leave the table so you won't forget. This will help you evaluate your game selection, as well as estimate your total action.

As you gain experience, you may want to add Dealer name and shift, though this might not be useful at this point in your development. I'm sure others have good ideas here too.
