    Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun

I am considering going to Foxwoods and/or Mohegan Sun in CT. Is there a lot of “Heat” at those locations?

Is there a difference in heat between the black chip tables (s17, 6d) and green chip tables (h17, 8d)? How about the high limit room (Fox Tower Casino)?

Unfortunately all of the red chip tables are 6:5. Not worth playing

First time I’ve heard of this term of red chip tables. Most shoe games are still 3:2, but some station blackjacks are 6:5, I guess. You sound like a fun guy I’d like to meet up.

"Usually" Mohegan Sun is faster than Foxwoods at giving heat to Black Chip players.

I was flat bet at Foxwoods last year red chipping 15 to 150. Also flyered to Mohegan Sun.

Really? How many sessions did you play there before getting backed off?

3 sessions. First on Friday afternoon I had a substantial win and knew they were watching me but I wasn't concerned (big mistake) because of the red chipping. Played again that evening with no noticeable problem. Went back Saturday afternoon and somehow found a $10 table. I couldn't believe it, had to put my glasses on to be sure! I started winning again and when I split 9s against a 9 with a big bet out and won both, about 2 minutes later I got the tap. Funny thing is they let me keep my players card (of course it can't be used anymore), but when they flyered me to Mohegan Sun they revoked my card and that's what really hurt because I lost my comps at Pocono Downs and Resorts AC, the places where I play alot.

How many hours did you play in Foxwoods prior to getting backed off?

Don't they have 8 deck games? Why would you even bother playing with so many decks? What was the SCORE of the game?

Why don't you make the hour drive to MGM Springfield where they have the BEST rules in the country?

MJ - Have you been to MGM Springfield recently? The last time I was there all the green chip tables were 6:5 and only the black chip tables were 3:2 (more than I can afford!)

What do you mean the BEST rules in the country - please specify. Thanks!

The last time I visited Springfield was a month ago. They have $15 table minimums in the morning and $25 and $50 minimums later in the day. Rules are 6 deck, DA2, DAS, LS, RSA. Quite a good game with 1.25 decks cut off.

Now can you answer my questions?

Thanks, MJ. Sorry to be a pest, but please confirm that they no longer impose 6:5 blackjack payoffs and have changed to to 3:2 for the tables on “the floor” (not just the high limit section)

Also, is it H17 or S17? That, to me is more important than 6 or 8 deck.

I am not sure which of your questions I can answer, since I am only trying to determine the feasibility of going to Foxwoods vs Mohegan Sun vs MGM Springfield vs Maybe Twin River, RI, but I am happy to answer any question I can. Please let me know.

What do you say? This is a huge mistake. H17 and s17 make a tiny difference for counters but 6-deck and 8-deck make a huge difference.

No idea why you think that.
