    Help a noob with CVdata

Hello, i am getting into blackjack, and decided to download all Qfit blackjack products...
So regarding my questions, i was traying to generate the indexes for a random casino i have here in Europe just to see how easy it was, but i have se following problems:

    1) Where can i find the informations regarding each configuration to then choose the one that suits best?
    2) How to choose the strategy? In my mind the only thing i should select is the counting system, or should i know prior the basic play for the rules of the casino?
    3) Can i generate just lets say "The most important 40 deviations?" Seems i am limited to 20 or all of them.
    4) Lets say i select in "rules" the option "No dealer hole card dealt" why can i still choose in "indexes" if i want generate additional indexes for ENH?
    5) How do i setup that the dealer blackjack wins everything or just the initial bet?

Sorry guys for the many questions, i hope this can help somebody else in the future as well, of course the softwares are amazing, but you need to know what you are doing well.

    Happy new year.

    1. Not quite sure I understand this question. If you are talking about the templates, select Index Generation if you want to create indices. Select Simple Six Deck Simulation for most sims. Then change the settings to match your decks, rules, etc.
    2. Just select the counting strategy.
    3. When you select a strategy, you can select full indices, Illustrious 18, Sweet 16, and/or Fab 4 surrender indices. But, you can also create your own strategy and modify it all you want.
    4. That second option is only if you want to create multiple rule sets at once. If you just want ENHC, just set that in the main rule settings.
    5. Lower right of the Rules tab, select No dealer hole card and then one of the four variations.

Also, there is screen help by clicking the blue question marks and two manuals. The user guide provides examples.

When you do an index sim, create a playing strategy copied from the Complete Basic Strategy, then go in an put the system tags for your system. Attach that as the playing strategy for the index sim and the output strategy (leaves the input strategy alone) will have the indexes you choose to look for.

Thanks for the fast response, 2 very last things:

    2) How do i just select the counting strategy? It seems i need to select the full primary strategy... are you telling me the only thing it reads is the counting strategy of what i selected?
Maybe it selects the optimal basic strategy on its own?

5)The option doesn't appear in the demo version, but maybe is just a bug of the demo.

Thanks a lot, its very impressive work...

    2. Bejam answered that.
    5. CVIndex assumes BJ wins all when ENHC is selected. For the other variations, do not select no hold card. The Australian variations make little difference to indices. Although, they do matter in sim results.
