Record keeping is critical when trying to establish professional gambler status with the IRS. You need to have recorded the dates, start times, end times, buy-in amounts, end of session amounts, and table (or machine) ID for each session. Those are the basic record keeping requirements, but there are other tests applied in order to qualify.
