    Is This Promotion Positive Expected Value

    All the promotions I had so far were for playing blackjack and then win some free sports bets. This promotion goes the other way and if you make sports bets you get free casino credits. I won't be playing it as I already have 12 free sports bets for this coming weekend, but I'm curious if it is a good promotion. Here it is.

    EARN UP TO $2,000
    IN CASINO FREE CREDITS
    Opt-in and place sportsbook bets between 10/13/21 and 10/17/21.

    Earn $100 in Casino free Credits for every $500 in settled Sportsbook bets.*

    Note: Any bets placed prior to opt-in or settle outside of the promotional period will not qualify. Total possible bonus that can be earned is $2,000 in Casino Free Credits.
    Promo Details:
    1. Must be physically located in NJ, PA, MI, or WV.
    2. Each qualifying bet must have minimum odds of -250 or longer (e.g., -200, +150, etc.).
    3. Excludes Free Bets, Odds Boosts, Cash Outs, and Voided Bets.
    4. Excludes free bets, same game parlays, cash-out bets, voided bets, and boosts.
    5. Any bets placed prior to opt-in or settle outside of the promotional period will not qualify.
    6. Promotional period ends on 10/17 at 11:59 PM ET; If qualified, you will be credited automatically on settlement.
    7. Promotional abuse including, but not limited to concurrent bets that take the opposite side of a market, will lead to removal from promotion.

    What are the play through requirements for the casino credits? And don’t tell me there aren’t any… Figure you’ll lose ~$45 per $500 bet (if you bet both sides) and see if it’ll be worth it. I’m going to guess it’s not.

    This promotion says you can't bet both sides (see #7 above). The play through requirements is only one time on the free credits. Blackjack has less than 0.5% house edge.

    Boy, I'm off to a bad start for this week's football bets. For this week I have 14 free bets consisting of 12 $100 free bets and 2 $5 free bets.

    I already lost my $100 bet for Thursday's night game. Buccaneers were on the 10 yard line with 2 minutes to go and they ran out the clock instead of kicking a field goal or trying for the TD. I had Tampa by -6.5. Damn, just how unlucky can I get.

    Always one of the eternal frustrations with betting the favorite. While the underdog is guaranteed to give you 100% effort at the end of the game, if it's losing, the favorite often just runs out the clock when it's winning.

    I agree, and I think the free bet is lost on a tie. However, I had so many free bets there wasn't much else to bet on.

    Positive value

    It seems good to me. You getting close to $100 for every $500 you spend in sport. Even with 15% negative expectation in sports, you still a head close to 5%.

    I did better this week on my sports betting picks. I won 8 of the 12 bets that have settled. A couple are still open. The Seattle game was a heart breaker for me.

    I did win a $1,000 free bet on my latest promotion. Still trying to think how to bet it. This last promotion put me at a new high for the year.
