    Astronomy

While we were not in the path of totality for the "Ring of Fire" eclipse, my wife and I got up early and were rewarded with the spectacular site of the crescent sun rising over a nearby lake this morning. We used welder's goggles to view it once fully up, but initially the sight was safely viewable by the naked eye. I don't think I'll ever see anything like that again.

Isn’t that a Johnny Cash Song

Hot chilies and cold beer too
    They make a fiery brew
My arsehole is a burning ring of fire
    And it burns burns burns
    Jyst like a funeral pyre

The path of totality of the last eclipse to be visible in the continental US past across about 150 miles from where I live. A friend of mine and I drove up for the day. An absolutely amazing, breathtaking experience that everyone should enjoy at least once in their lives. Took about 10 hours to return home, though. :-) Traffic was nearly as breathtaking.

This is the most authentic American lyrics I’ve ever heard. Keep it real, like this blackjack forum. Norm is doing a great job here.

This is not right. Why it took you 10 hours to drive only 150 miles. Card counters must be good at arithmetics.

It is because, as Gronbog pointed out, I referred to what the traffic was like. This was (and still is) in a rural area of the US, so the roads are narrow and winding, not designed to handle the number of cars that had gathered to observe the event. Card counters must be good at observing details.
