Gotcha - i wasnt sure for a minute . Agree that Reno kind of looks like a run down version of DT LV.

Well, I did drive into Wendover, got to the Rainbow midweek, late. Next morning, tables were empt6 and I just lef5 for Reno. Got to Reno the next evening, stayed in a vey nic3 room at the Silver Legacy, found no motivation to play, left for San Francisco. I will be here for 2-3 days.

I can return to Missouri via Las Vegas but after some 14 months of not playing, I feel little motivation.

Zee, I can't believe you were in a casino hotel and didn't even bother to play a few hands of blackjack. I knew the place would be dead midweek with their charter flight program cancelled. When you say "tables were empty" did you mean they weren't open or no one playing.

I agree, it is difficult to get back in the blackjack spirit after a years absence. I just recently made my first blackjack trip in over a year. My favorite game was gone, and I knew I wasn't ready for prime time after such a long absence. However, the blackjack gods looked favorably upon me and I won on every day of the trip. Oh, I also played my first online blackjack trying to play enough to get the bonus. Won on that too, and got my money out.

Wish you could expand on this. Jackie Price has been around for a long time. Have they become much less tolerant or are they dealing less rounds or are tables too crowded. Rules still look pretty good.

    Here's my two cents.

I didn't last twenty four hours betting green about 3 years ago.

When I first started playing about 7 pm on Friday, pit guy came up and asked me what brought me to town. I sensed surveillance was doing player eval. I played first 45 minute session with worthless progressing betting. That made me look harmless. When casino got busy later that evening, I played my aggressive game until about 3 am. No problems.

I played a session the next morning which I think did me in. Got the tap. When I checked I had $300 in comps that I forfeited. Very generous comps for green bettors. Vast majority of players were red chip bettors.

My theory is that you might get away with aggressive play when casino is very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. I'd avoid doing that any other times.

I haven't been there in a couple years so I can't speak to current conditions.

Less tolerant and not the formerly good pen.

Mr. Price is the Table Games Manager for the three Peppermill properties. He is usually the one who handles backoffs and 86'ings, mostly politely and courteously.
