What Zee means to be saying is that he and his team of counters will be frequenting Vegas less often than they did pre-COVID.

Crowds coming back because only domestic travel is reasonable. It's tough to travel internationally still. Though Mexico has made a tourist push to get folks back to Cancun, Cozumel and the like. Even promising to put travelers up "free" if they test positive pre-return flight.

Crowds coming to Vegas will find much higher food prices and much worse gaming conditions/rules............at least on Blackjack and in the casino restaurants. I'm sorry but whether you can afford it or not, a regular two egg breakfast with meat and toast........nothing fancy........should NOT cost almost $30. (Paris circa Feb 2021)
The greed of operators on the Strip has NO bounds..............LOL

    As a comparison in Macau:
    PowerPoint Presentation (galaxymacau.com) US$1=MOP8

I assume the $30 does include a tea/coffee and an "orange juice"?

I know Macau is cheap(er), so I am not surprised.

Wow, then Vegas is at least double the price of Macau.

My Favorite Las Vegas Mid-Strip Breakfasts

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for awhile but haven't posted as I didn't feel I had anything to add until the topic turned to breakfast in Las Vegas. I've made a couple of trips to LV recently (Nov 2020 and March 2021), staying mid-Strip, and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I'm always on the lookout for a proper breakfast, which I define as including eggs, meat, pancakes, and coffee.

I agree that $30 is a lot to pay for breakfast, but I have found several good options around or under that price range:

    • Caesars Palace - Cafe Americano has an "All American Breakfast" for $23. Officially, it includes eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast. What the menu doesn't mention is that they will allow you to substitute a pancake for the toast, and another pancake for the potatoes if you like. The pancakes are awesome and huge. Coffee is still extra. This is one of my favorite mid-Strip breakfasts.

    • The Linq - Hash House a Go Go has a "Tractor Driver Combo" for $17 that includes eggs, meat, and one of their monstrously large pancakes. You can also upgrade to a flavored pancake. The pancakes here are both humongous and delicious. This place often has a long wait to get in.

    • Mirage - The Pantry has a "Jackpot Combo" that includes eggs, meat, pancakes and coffee or tea for $29. Good quality food and great service in my experience.

    • Venetian - Grand Lux Cafe doesn't have a combo that fits my criteria exactly, but you can piece it together a la carte and still come in under $30. Food and service are top notch. They have another location in the Palazzo that used to have an awesome breakfast buffet - not sure whether that will return after COVID or not.

    • Planet Hollywood - Cafe Hollywood has a "Big Breakfast" that includes eggs, both sausage and bacon, and pancakes for $17. Coffee is extra, but you can still get out for well under $30.

Margaritaville at the Flamingo also has a combo that meets my criteria, but I didn't include it above because I found it only mediocre in quality and taste, so I only went there once and probably won't go back. I'm sure there are many other options around, but I really haven't explored the breakfast scene further south or further north yet.

Hope that helps someone. If anyone can recommend other good breakfast options, please do so. I have another trip to LV scheduled for June.

It IS pretty funny (and I appreciate the info on other places for breakfast) but inflation has definitely set in, when under $20 for a simple breakfast is considered a VALUE meal..................LOL I guess they have to "make up" for their comp room rates (sans resort fees IF you are lucky).
