    WA spanish21 redouble policy

I noticed lots of card room in WA offer 5D sp21 with redouble, however table max only $300. Does anyone know if they allow redouble bet over $300? For example, I bet $300 on initial wager, then first double down $300 as well, how about the second double, can I bet $600? or $300 is the cap no matter what? Since one of my friend live in WA, he told me he did couple times $600 bet on the second double, however most ap say it is capped at table max. I don't know which information is reliable

In my experience, since table maximums are set by the casino they also set the policy on doubling. So, there is no blanket policy to apply.

Legally, all bets are capped at the posted table max (where the table max is at or below state regulations.) Depending on how WA sets up is gambling rules:

1.) The casino has been approved by gaming to allow doubling of table max bet (ie 300 -> 600) by way of approval through the casinos "Internal Controls."

2.) The casino may be running afoul of gaming law as they are only legally allowed to take a 300 dollar limit per bet.

I would check with WA state and ask them. Get a gaming agent to verify your suspicions.

Last time I played in WA, they capped *all bets* at the posted limit (usually 200 dollars). That means each double, DD, and DDD can only be at 200 each for a grand total of 600 dollars on the felt.

This is patently false. You might have meant "must be at or below state limit."

Just because they have been approved to allow it does not mean they must take it. As long as they have an internal policy that conforms otherwise with state regulations, they are generally allowed to set their own limits. Their obligation is to administer their "internal controls" and policies in a fair and equitable manner. Of course, we all know that administration is not always equitably applied to all players.

Yup, that is what I meant to say. Corrected in my previous post!

I spent time checking out WA's gaming commission site for their rules/regs and found very little as to describing their internal control policy (only that one must be submitted and adhered too at all times.)

Whether they allow going over state limits for redoubling is still not quite clear. You may be correct. A gaming agent may be the best to ask at this point.

My understanding. No wager may exceed stated table limit. Casinos also have runs of good and bad variance. Any xx or xxx that would exceed table maximum would erode your edge. The higher the initial bet, the more that xx or xxx exceeds table maximum, the higher the erosion. An initial bet of table max is not wise. For a $200 table max, your maximum expected value is achieved with a maximum initial bet of $50.
