I got trespass banned from Caesars. Which casinos does this extend to?

I just got trespass banned from Paris in Las Vegas (owned by Caesars). They said I would get arrested if I walked into any properties owned by Caesars. Does this extend to properties that are only leased/operated, but not owned, by Caesars?

This is the first time I've gotten trespass banned, so any other information regarding getting banned would be helpful. Have you gone back to a place you were banned from? What happened?

EDIT: Also, I had a Caesars rewards card. Is it a bad idea to let someone else go in a use any points on it? Will they wipe my rewards?

Theoretically, they cannot ban you from all properties, because of ownership issues, but that does not mean that they will not do it. How you would be treated in other facilities, will mostly depend on the local casino. You are unlikely to get arrested but you will be asked to leave.

The card will be already locked and the rewards will be gone. If someone tries to use the card in a table or a slot machine, an alert will be sent to surveillance. Your friend could get arrested and charged with ID theft.

You should have stopped messing up the “flow of the cards”

I don't see how it is the responsibility of the trespassed person to find the legal definition of ownership and which properties apply to that definition for the purposes of trespass. The vast majority of visitors have no idea who owns what. I also find it difficult to believe an officer would take you into custody, unless you were caught rustling cattle or hunting deer. But, IANAL.

When they barred me at Bally's (a long time ago) I was told by the shift manager I was not welcome to play any Blackjack game in all of Caesars Entertainment Corporation (CEC) casinos throughout North America ... That my picture would be sent to all their properties !

    F..K T..M
I still play there and get the money.
In fact I play right across the street in the property that gave its name to the group.

    This is all B......t
They want to make you believe they see everything when in fact they are mostly blind.

Ask Tommy Hyland how many times he was told not to play in XYZ properties ...

    GMAN is right.

I was told the same thing at Planet Hollywood and got a FRB at a Harrah's property two weeks later. They are just trying to intimidate.

I believe (not a lawyer, ask Nersesian?) that the trespass laws are "real" property specific, not related to a company. If so, then you can only be trespassed at the property they own and you are on. Does not mean the idiots won't take some stupid action and force you to defend yourself.

Trespassing me in Las Vegas and telling me I will be arrested in Ohio is bullshit, but when I go to Ohio they may trespass me there if they choose and then arrest me if I come back.

If this is a big issue for you, then get legal advice before going forward.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

I would say trespass is more "owner-specific" rather than property-specific. Changing ownerships generally invalidates the trespass.

I was unaware of any playable conditions in Ohio.

A judge might not see it that way. Hell, I bet you a cop doesn't even need to know what's up! Only to enforce any trespass order given by any property owner.

It's your responsibility to know the law. And the law says that if an owner of property says they no longer want your presence, current and/or future, they have the right to exclude you.

If you invoke the "ignorance" excuse, prosecution could state to the judge that all commercial property (including casino property) is publicly available knowledge by way of the city, state, fed... whatever. The owners, also, post on their own private web pages what properties they own. So...good luck getting out of that!

Still doesn't excuse the bullshit that they can ban winning players who make near min wage at some dumb game.

To second what @G man and @stealth said, I was trespassed ( so Caesars has said ) / banned from one property ( the one in California ) and have gone to properties in Las Vegas multiple times since the incident.

However, there have been problems at the properties, but aside from one incident the problems never have had to do with my right to be on the property, and I have never been removed from any property by Metro. These other issues are about my ability to redeem comps, offers, benefits — such as using the Laurel lounge or having a host comp charged off my room bill ( but I have never had a problem booking a room complimentary, including weekends and holidays and including the flagship property ). But the problem is when you try to resolve the comp issue with Caesars Rewards or the central rewards office, they always seem to ghost the request. I have never even gotten anything in writing about my account. Also, on day 1 of the month following the incident, my Caesars.com account got “deactivated” with error code 1, so when I book it always has to be via phone ( and as stated previously they have been happy to comp the offer ).

So is it that I’m allowed to be there, but I am not allowed to have access to comps, because I did something trespass worthy? If anyone wants to know what I did I will message you LOL but heads up...not that exciting like card counting

A couple of ideas: pick up a copy of Blackjack and the Law by Rob Loeb and Bob Nersisian also has a book out if i recall. Most likely you can play elsewhere without a problem, but if a problem occurs it helps to think through in advance how you will deal with it.

Not a lawyer so take this with a grain of salt, but imo being cited and found guilty of a tresspass charge is not the biggest problem, YMMV but its likely a small fine and some type of mischief or misdeamnor offence depending on the locale. And with the right legal support you can probably beat altogether.

The downside is cost of legal help (i would assume you would be in the 4-5 figure range) and that is not the biggest concern. The biggest concern is you get arrested on a weekend when the court is closed and have to spend the weekend in the pokey waiting for monday to post bail. You may beat the charge but it will costs $$ and how much risk of a trip to the big house you are willing to accept is a personal choice.

I can accept a certain level of risk at public companies regulated by the states. I would refrain personally from returning to an Indian Tribe where i have been read the trespass act.

And of course it goes without saying you should probably stop using the card that you were tresspassed under - another fine example of the benefits of playing unrated.

But he will tell you that Indian casinos are a different deal altogether.

I don't know a Caesar's on Indian land, that said.

All casinos in California are Indian, including Caesars. And to make Don S. feel better, it's "Caesars" without the apostrophe.
