    hello to everyone

i was thinking my entrance to casino is always to go directly to bj tables cut the game by putting down some money on the table and sitting down to play first shoe i catch flat betting and bs like a gambler that cant wait for the action

but ..... what if i sit at a table that from 6 decks is already played 3 decks and by sitting down in the first one or two hands i see a +6 (games is with surrender -0.28 he) and i consider that i play at tc 1 and betting like that.i just put mentaly all the decks that allready was played and didnt count them behind cut card .

what u say ??is mathematical correct ?

Yes - if wonging in mid shoe and you didnt see all the cards played just count the cards you see and make sure to divide by the number of unseen cards when calculating true count. In your example divide by 6 rather than by 3 as you missed the 1st three decks of play.

I think this is math correct. The most important factor is the number of players at the table though.

However, you have to understand that if the shoe is already cut at 4.5/6, you're playing a very poor game that has a penetration of 1.5/6.
    High variance and poor SCORE.

Actually, I think it’s easier to just calculate True Count the regular way and make allowance for the new and certainly not improved deck pen. If so inclined, maybe split 10’s or double 12 v 5 or 6 at min bets. Gloat when the latter wins.

is there some index to double 12 vs 5 or 6 or something in neg counts with small - e.v for cover ?

    like always standing at 12 vs 3 or 16 vs 10 ...

I almost never play a shoe that I either do not have a count for OR without an obvious visual cue, like an obvious deficit of negative count cards in the last 3 hands.

    Neither should you.

You absolutely can back count, even from a short distance.

Also never hesitate asking for a new shoe if you're at a casino where they left cards in the tray when no one is playing. It does not mean you are a counter. Tons of ploppies believe in the "good/bad shoes" fallacy, as well as all sorts of fallacies.
