That's just dumb. With a 1 to 6 spread, H17, DAS, 65% pen, your ROR is about 85%

Either Double deck playing 1.25-1.5 decks down or six deck playing 1.5 to 1 deck down H17 DAS. Honestly I'm willing to play whatever game the casino offers as long as the conditions aren't garbage. 25K starting bankroll (28K at the beginning of this trip) $25-$200x2 spread although at places with a $10 or $15 minimum I'll do $10-$200x2. I'm not anywhere close to high roller status, but I'll consider myself successful when I can responsibly bet two hands of $500.

Day 4: needed a day to recoup and catch up on work before heading further out. I came home to some time with my wife. To prepare for tomorrow I ate moderately healthy, exercised, and soaked up some sun. The plan is to head to Vegas tomorrow. Hopefully we get some decent play time before getting fliered.

When is an appropriate time to restructure my bet sizing? Is there a general rule such as a 25% swing in either direction?

Craven, I hope that you kick some ass starting tomorrow.

It all boils down to your propensity for risk and what does that $25K mean to you and your family. Only you know how much risk you are willing to undertake.

I lost this amount over one year of playing. it was always big losses and small gains.

Do you have a tendency to raise up "press a little" your standard unit bets when you are behind as a quicker way to hopefully turn a losing session around? On the same note do you lower that same standard unit bets when winning in hopes to preserve that win? If either is the case it could be an unnecessary emotional reaction getting in the way of playing a solid game.

my mind set was always the latter, lower that same stand unit bets when wining in hopes to preserve that win, because I was afraid of even bigger loss. How to overcome this problem?

Being consistent, and having trust in yourself by eliminating any weak spots in your game. Keep a low ROR and put in the hours and trust the math.

I would like to add don't play shitty games, goes to discipline.

I trust the math behind card counting but know little about ROR. I play for win, not for ruin for sure, so why bother to learn it. All of my past losses were when true counts were high and my bets were high too. A lot of times I just felt casinos cheated but you just did not have the evidence. it’s very hard to find good games now. Another problems for me is that I played poker and other casino games too. That was part of the losing.

Day 5: The nicest backoff yet. Sat down and played two shoes then left to get dinner. Two people walk up, one in a grey suit, and tell me I have a fantastic game and asked me how I learned to play so well before telling me I couldn't play there anymore. I asked for a copy of my flier so I could frame it and hang it on my wall at home and they said they don't have anything like that. I don't buy it, but I didn't press further. I'm fairly confident it's in the SIN network so if anyone has access I would be grateful if you can get a copy of my page to proudly display. Today we're +2314 in just under 4 hours with one back off.

It seems the way you understand back-off is different from other people’s. Back-off usually means you are IDed and you are not allowed to play in this casino anymore, but you back off were just playing without ID. There were nothing serous at all. Congratulations for a good day.

I will tell you why: It is very apparent that you have just been gambling with a Hail Mary approach. With an accompanying attitude that says I will do what I please, that is a recipe for disaster.

Where do you get your ideas from?
