    Aggressive spread...I like it...

Having an 'act' will help longevity....when you make your moves, try to look the part...A GAMBLER & the $$$l ook - think BMW, Rolex, Cartier & Tom Ford as opposed to Prius, Timex, pocket protector & grianimals...if you catch my drift

Sharky - you forgot the MIT sweatshirt. I actually saw a young guy at Bellagio wearing one. Watched his play a bit and it was non-AP. Maybe he was a plant to keep surveillance's eyes off the real team

I think the casinos took it to the next level since your Dad’s road trip. It ain’t the same game no more..

Thanks for the sage advice. I just completely overlooked the power of a flashy look. First impressions are everything after all.

Playing locally I haven't noticed much of a difference besides that one joint after a remodel. You either go get the EV or you don't.

Yes, but your 'act' is even more important...dont fret big losses, don't worry what anyone else at table does, just keep firing when time is right...of course, after showing such a spread, win, or lose, you split

That's my current strategy for my locals. I heard on some BJA podcasts it's possible to find casinos that let you play for hours/days/weeks. I'm dead set on figuring that out. Will report the results here.

Well the difference is that not many casinos anywhere are going to let you bet a spread of $25 to 2 x $200 at DD for long. In your Dad’s time, one might have gotten away with it but not these days. At DD, the first time you play that 2 x $200 after staying at $25 on most neutral and negative counts, you will be noticed. If you lose that round, maybe they give you another chance but you are under their radar and on your way to getting backed off, win or lose any more.

As usual with Arby, this is just wrong. I have several places where I can play exactly this spread and have been doing so for several years. My cumulative wins at three casinos in particular are in the mid-five figures. Arby carries his losing attitude to all aspects of his game and then makes bummer pronouncements as if is he some kind of blackjack sage. He did this on CBJN for years, then BJA until he got tiresome and was banned.

That was really cool. I accidentally responded to Zee, instead of you. Norm must have deleted saving me the trouble. Had to do with familiarity of writing styles.

Well, I have been reading right on this forum from esteemed AP’s that DD games are counter traps. Add to that where I have been backed off ar a number of casinos, just betting 1-8 spreads on DD.

Why don’t you post a thread here asking what spread will get you backed off playing DD?

    1) They can't back you off if you leave after showing your top bet. 2) After you get backed off a few times you become more familiar with the lead up and can get out of dodge before anything happens. It's one of those things where you don't know till you know. Get backed off, get some experience
