What info do Gaming and Casinos share with each other on AP’s

Posting anonymously for 2 reasons. First, to mask my general location. Second, to protect the identity of a pit critter contact who (though not likely) could be linked to me.

Today, I had a lengthy text exchange with this individual from another city. In the past, I have mentored him on certain strategies and he/she has shared certain casino procedures with me. Today, he/she initiated the text exchange to warn me of general changes in subject marketplace. To wit: Increased backoffs on a geometric level across several stores, reduced deck penetration over several stores. Part of the warning included the stores knowledge of my last name, though it’s never been provided.

Part of the exchange centred around stores and gamIng exchanging information on AP’s. At least in this jurisdiction, and I’d like comment on others, stores are apparently providing backoff information to Gaming. Gaming apparently provides bulletin type info, including pictures of suspected AP’s. To be clear, information exchange occurs on non criminal activity. Information to stores, occurs well above pay grade of pit personnel and filters to the pit.

There’s more information that I can share, however, to do so could be compromising.

Gaming shouldn't be sharing info with casino, unless the AP filed a Gaming complaint. However, there's always bribes, corruption, etc. wouldn't surprise me if Louisiana shared info, but otherwise, I'd expect it to be the exception rather than the rule. Why would Gaming have any info on APs?

Yup, that’s a good question 21forme. How and why would gaming have info on AP’s?

On another similar note. When you declare winnings on your tax returns, any possibility tax filers with significant winnings will get databases? Will there names end up with gaming or casinos?

That would imply the IRS is sending info to casinos or databases. No way!

I wouldn't put anything past a casino doing such things.

I have to clarify one point, which 8 will do shortly.

Its unclear that Gaming sends out the bulletins as a matter of protocol. There was mention in the texts that this pit persons store extracts the information from a Government database. This would mean that Gaming catalogues information from Stores providing data on their back offs.

once i was at an mgm property. I forgot my wallet in the room with my key. I have done this a few times before at a casino and would go to the front desk, send security up with me to go in with me and I would show them my ID in the wallet. This time I happened to see a maid in the hallway and asked if they could do the same for me to save me the trip of going down to the front desk. They said they weren't sure and didn't want to get in trouble (perfectly reasonable.) They called someone downstairs, then she asked my name. I told her and after telling the person on the phone she put me on with them, they asked the last 4 of my social. I intentionally transposed the last 2 numbers in case it was some fishing expediditon and he said it was wrong- i then told him the right one, put the maid back on the phone and told her to let me in.

Now how the hell would MGM know the last 4 of my social if i have NEVER taken out credit markers SAR etc with them? I put nothing past casinos especially huge ones like MGM.
